Louise Ervin who was affectionately known to her family and close friends as “Babysister” departed this life peacefully surrounded by her loving cousins at the Harrisburg Hospital on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the young age of 77.
Louise was born on December 8, 1943 and raised in Harrisburg Pa, she was the daughter of the late Edna Ervin and Jack Ervin Sr. She received her formal education at the former John Harris High School in Harrisburg Pa and retired from the Dauphin County Tax Assessment Office after many years of service. Louise was also a member of Saint Patrick Cathedral.
Louise enjoyed getting cards, phone calls and visits from niece Nicole Reyes and her children Natalie and Mackenzie. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and monthly dinner outing with her cousins. Most of all, Louise looked forward to the holidays when she would be invited to her cousin Kelly Green’s home to celebrate where she was always surrounded by so much love from her cousins.
Along with her parents Louise was predeceased by her brother Jack Ervin Jr. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Kirkwood, one sister-in-law Darnel Ervin, 3 nieces; 3 special cousins, Tim Cheatham, Lisa Cheatham, Christina Kent, her dedicated and caring cousin who was also her caregiver Vickie Thomas, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
