Lincoln C. Powell

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile" Lincoln C. Powell, 90, of Susquehanna Township, passed peacefully at home on Friday, June 25, 2010 with his family at his side. Lincoln, a decorated Army Veteran, retired from Rosen & Company as a Brick Mason. He was a member of the Hillside Seventh Day Adventist Church; an Elder for 62 years, a Sabbath School Teacher, member of the choir and he enjoyed gardening, fishing and walks in the woods. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory; his children Linda (Wesley) Plummer of Pottstown, Crosby L. Powell, Jr. and Joseph W. (Sandra) Powell all of Harrisburg, predeceased by Clara Reed, yet survived by a son-in-law Pastor Willis Reed of NY, daughter-in-law Monica Powell of Harrisburg, brother-in-law Lorenzo Best of Maryland, 3 sisters-in-law Annie Best of Washington, DC, Eleanor Best of New Bern, NC and Trudy Powell of Aliquippa, PA, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at his church on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. The family appreciates your love and kindness, during their time of bereavement.
