Lincoln C. Powell, 90, of Susquehanna Township, passed peacefully at home on Friday, June 25, 2010 with his family at his side. Lincoln, a decorated Army Veteran, retired from Rosen & Company as a Brick Mason. He was a member of the Hillside Seventh Day Adventist Church; an Elder for 62 years, a Sabbath School Teacher, member of the choir and he enjoyed gardening, fishing and walks in the woods. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory; his children Linda (Wesley) Plummer of Pottstown, Crosby L. Powell, Jr. and Joseph W. (Sandra) Powell all of Harrisburg, predeceased by Clara Reed, yet survived by a son-in-law Pastor Willis Reed of NY, daughter-in-law Monica Powell of Harrisburg, brother-in-law Lorenzo Best of Maryland, 3 sisters-in-law Annie Best of Washington, DC, Eleanor Best of New Bern, NC and Trudy Powell of Aliquippa, PA, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at his church on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. The family appreciates your love and kindness, during their time of bereavement.
