Leonard Andrel Allen Jr. “Lenny” to most, was born on September 11, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Constance Allen and Leonard Andrel Allen Sr. Lenny passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Harrisburg, PA. He attended school in the Philadelphia area and then at the age of 18 he enlisted and chose to serve his country in the US Air Force from May of 1972 through May of 1984, He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. His Specialty consisted of being a Flight Engineer Technician and Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Technician. His military education consisted of Flight engineer specialist training, Fixed wing aircraft performance, Flight Engineer initial qualification, NCO leadership school, AF Maintenance Data collection and Aircraft Maintenance Technician training. He was awarded several medals, badges, citations and Campaign ribbons which included the Small Arms Expert Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces (AF) Longevity Service Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster, AF Oversees Ribbon, AF Presidential Unit Citation, Professional Military Education Ribbon, AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. As part of this service, he served in the Vietnam war. He was a driver for Trailways for many years then found his way to his 2nd family with over 30 years of Government Service at the Defense Logistics Agency and was able to complete several courses including the Defense Distribution Management Course. Lenny is survived by his wife Rosalyn Barnes Allen, son Monte Allen, his loyal partner and love of his life, Pamela S. Reynolds, bonus sons- Arthur (Ericka) Jefferson, Lawrence Reynolds, Nate Daniels, his sister Deborrah (Marvin) Dorsey, bonus sister-Bobbi (Ervin) Muse, best friend Lynwood, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, co-workers and Pets (Rufus and Rambo).His loved ones will remember his love for his fellow Service members and Philadelphia Eagles and best known as the “Bloody Mary King”.
