Lee Velma Lewis Thames

The family of Lee Velma Thames, 91 of Townhouse Apartments will host a tribute to her life on Tuesday May 9th in her church The People's Community Baptist Church at 11AM with viewing at 10. She passed May 4th. She was a former 40 year member of the North 17th Street Church of God, deaconess, usher and started the Noon Day Prayer Group of that church. Her family, 10 children John W., Erven, Kermit and Martha Thames. Katie Hickman, Laura Stevens, Geraldine Steele, Pearl Bryant. Lessie White and Mary Hearn, two brothers Wilson and Fennie Lewis, two sisters Roberta Daniels and Juanita Waters with 27 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Her final resting place will be in the Midway Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Decatur Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Peoples Community Baptist Church Building Fund, 2001 Chestnut Street, Hbg., PA 17104.
