Lawrence E. Youch, 62 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Larry was predeceased by his father Martin J. Youch and his mother Anne Marie (Joyce) Youch. He was also predeceased by his sisters; Anne Marie Dido and niece Jennifer Dido.
Larry was a retired Veteran of the United States Army, a Master Sergeant serving as a Combat Medic with 24 years of honorable service. “This we will Defend” is the army motto and Larry lived those words throughout his distinguished career. Larry received numerous awards including; the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal to name a few.
Larry was a member of the Holy Family Church and had memberships with the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed sports, his favorites were the Eagles and Penn State football. He also enjoyed good music and watching the “Price Is Right.” But most importantly, he loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren, that is what he valued most of all in life.
Larry leaves his devoted wife Debra Youch, his children Stephanie and Lawrence Jr., his siblings Marty (Vita) Youch, Sharon (Jim) Miller, Elaine and Joe Youch, his brother-in-law Mark Dido, 2 grandchildren Hayden and Chase Johnson and a host of other family members and friends.
