Kimberly Matthews

Kim was a beautiful woman both inside and out. There was not a single person that did not love her, and it is evidently shown with everyone who is here today to celebrate her life.

Kim left us on June 25, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born July 24, 1970, to Lucille Layton and James Vernon Matthews. Kim attending the Harrisburg Area School District and went on to work for the state of Pennsylvania for many years to follow.

During her life, she worked hard and gave her all to whatever she set her mind to accomplishing. Believe me when I tell you, she loved watching movies, creating unique graphic designs, but most of all she loved talking to her siblings. Kim loved the Lord with all her heart, and I am sure she is laughing with the Lord right now. She was a member of Glory to God in the Most High Church.  Kim is survived by her mother Lucille, her 2 children Roderick Dale Hood Jr. and Imani Monae Hood, 1 brother Vernon, 3 sisters Vernice, Joanne, and Gina. Kim has a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

While Kim was taken too soon from our world, the imprint of who she is will never leave.
