In Loving Memory of Kevin L. Weyant

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin L. Weyant, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Kevin left this world on November 22, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Kevin was born on October 6, 1960, in Altoona, PA, the son of the late Arthur and Leona (Miller) Weyant. From an early age, he exhibited a passion for trains, hunting, and camping. He grew into a compassionate and kind individual, always willing to lend a helping hand and spread warmth with his infectious smile.

Kevin's true joy in life was his family. He married the love of his life, Rebecca D. Patchett, on January 21, 1984, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Kevin was a devoted father to Angela M. (Weyant) Basile of Shepherdstown, WV and Allyson R. Weyant of Ridgley, WV, instilling in them the values of kindness, integrity, and the importance of pursuing one's passions. He is survived by his daughters, four grandchildren: Krysten and Trystan Kowalski, Tristan and Hayden Gerry, a great grandson: Colton Kowalski-Fletcher, and his brother Lonnie Weyant (Joanne) of VA. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Jeffrey, Jerry, and Dennis Weyant.

Kevin was a Journeyman Electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 26. He retired after 35 years of service. Outside of his professional and family life, Kevin was an avid hunter, model train enthusiast, and project connoisseur. Whether he was trekking in the woods, putting together model trains and scenes, or working on one of his many projects, Kevin's enthusiasm was contagious, and he formed lasting friendships with those who shared his interests. His presence in our lives brought joy and a sense of camaraderie that will be deeply missed.

Kevin’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the positive impact he had on all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

A memorial service to honor and remember Kevin will be held on December 2nd at 11am at Paxtang Wood's Edge Green Burial, Harrisburg, PA with a reception to follow.

May he rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire us all to live our lives with purpose, compassion, and a zest for the things that bring us true joy.
