Kenneth M. Lester

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile" Kenneth M. Lester, 76, of B'nai B'rith Apartments, Harrisburg, passed suddenly on Monday, November 1, 2010. Ken, the son of the late John and Anna Mae Lester and was proceeded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lester. Ken was a member of the Hillside Seventh Day Adventist Church; Church Elder, Sabbath School Teacher, Personal Ministry Leader, Member of Harrisburg School Board, Omega Psi Phi and was an Investigator for Dauphin County Public Defender's Office and a Reporter for Channel 8 News. Ken was a political advocate and a poll leader in his district. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory his children; William and David Lester both of TN, Regina and Timothy Young of Harrisburg and Kennitha Lester of Philadelphia, a sister, Mary Ann Bland of MD, several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held in his church, 1300 Herr Street, Harrisburg on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 12 Noon, viewing at 10:00 a.m., burial at William Howard Day Cemetery on Monday, November 8, 2010.
