Kathryn E. Chivis-Agent 58, fondly known at Kat, passed peacefully at Community General Hospital on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Kat was employed as a Training Supervisor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Welfare, for more than 35 years. She was also a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church and the Red Hatter's. Kat had a way of bringing folks together, loving them for who they are and allowing their light shine. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her devoted husband, Cornelius C. Agent, Jr., two loving daughters, Quianna Agent-Phillips and Alana Agent, step-daughter Adrian Evans, her mother, Mary Chivis, sisters Clara and Angel Chivis, brothers, Howard, Charles and Ronnie Chivis, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held in her church on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. and internment in Rolling Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is handling arrangements.
