Julian N. Mallory

I have a son, who is my heart. A wonderful young man, daring and loving and strong and kind. - Maya Angelou
An amazing light in this world was extinguished on Friday June 2, 2017 when Julian Nyfhese Mallory, just 17 years old, passed away unexpectedly. Juju as he was lovingly referred to by both friends and family was a joy to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Born May 13, 2000 to his loving mother, Julia Mallory and his father Cedric Simmons, Julian who was a junior at Harrisburg High School enjoyed playing video games with friends & little brother & cousins, collecting sneakers, especially Jordans. Juju developed many business ideas & was always creating ways to make money, especially buying and reselling sneakers and phones. On any given day you could find him playing basketball at 4th & Emerald playground.
His friends who he enjoyed spending time with, describe him as funny, hardworking, athletic, honest, and loyal.
Juju loved to not only play basketball and football, as a former player for The Harrisburg Broncos, Packers, Cougars, and Soldiers Flag football team, but was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles and 76'ers fan, and recently had attended an NBA game.
Very active in the community Julian was a member of the Breaking The Chains mentoring program, participated in the Rotary Club of Harrisburg essay contest, and the National Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow program. Juju was a dreamer and had many ideas about what he would do when he became an adult.
Left to carry memories of him in their hearts are his mother; Julia Mallory, father; Cedric Dwayne Simmons, step- father; Kareem Lawrence, his brothers; Kareem Lawrence Jr., Saekwon Simmons ,and Nazir Stewart-Simmons of Harrisburg, Pa, his sisters; Jaya Mallory, Ijianique Simmons and Ce'niah Simmons, maternal grand-parents; Willie Mae Holifield and Leonard Mallory (Deceased), paternal grandparents; Alma Jean Morrison and Harry Simmons, aunts; Nicole Mallory, Lafreda Muney (Deceased), Barbara Moore(Deceased), Elvira, Wonder, and Nicole Morrison, Stephanie P. & Stephanie L. Simmons, uncles; Shaquille Mallory, James Moore, Judson "Brady" Morrison (Deceased), Bobby Morrison, Anthony, Randy, Gary, Kevin & Barry Simmons as well as a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that  donations be made to the newly formed Harrisburg Cougars Midget Football Association c/o Mr. Juan Bratcher P.O. Box 61174 Harrisburg, PA 17106. #flyhighjuju
