Joshua Dunlap

Joshua Dunlap, aka Josh "Pookie" Dunlap, age 79, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at his residence. Born is South Carolina, Josh moved to Harrisburg at an early age. He was a member of Reclaim the Streets Ministry, Harrisburg and had retired from the US Postal Service. Beloved son of the late Joshua and Martha (Lily) Dunlap, he is survived by his devoted companion of 30 years, Verna Diggs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Mark Fury of Mt. Holly, NJ, Sheila and Clarence Hill of Downingtown, PA; one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Martha Ann Dunlap of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mary Jane Dunbar and Bernetta Dunbar Lewis also of Harrisburg; extended family, James and Cassandra (Sonni) Hawkins, Glenda, Antoine and Shayla Diggs, Ernestine and Matthew Banks, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., 3532 Walnut Street, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held from 10AM - 11 AM, services immediately following and the interment at William Howard Day Cemetery. The family wishes to thank each of you for your prayers and condolences.
