John D. Oglesby

A tribute in honor of John D. Oglesby, 81, whose passing occurred at home with family and friends Friday, June 2nd will be in the Hooper Memorial Home Inc., Wednesday June 7th at 11AM; viewing Tuesday at 6PM. This tribute will be conducted by his devoted wife Murlena, children Nancy Burgess, Oscar Holmes Jr., Daisy Jackson, Wilbur Turner, Ruth Lackey, William Holmes, Nathaniel Holmes, Anita Blount, Dottie Carr, Jonnie Dean and Linda Lewis, a brother Walker and numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Oglesby was a minister of St. Marks Baptist Church, WWII veteran and member of Chosen Friends Lodge number 43, F & AM, PHA. Masonic services will be held at 6:30PM Tuesday.
