"There is a place, I have been told, beyond an open gate... " John E. Meredith, 69, of Union City, GA, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Odyssey Hospice Center. John, originally from Harrisburg worked several years in Construction; fellowshipped at New Day Way of the Cross Church, he was a Deacon and enjoyed fishing, hunting and bingo. John leaves to celebrate his life his children, Angelia Ingram of GA, Lisa Meredith of GA and Sandra Reid of Harrisburg, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Service will be held at his church, New Day Way of the Cross Church of Christ, 310 Peffer St., Harrisburg, PA 17102 on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. and viewing at 10:00.
