John M. Boyd

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile."

John M. Boyd, 87of Harrisburg, passed peacefully in Spring Creek Nursing Home on Saturday, August 6, 2011.  John was the son of the late George and Daisy Boyd, retired as a buyer of Boyd's Men's Store in Philadelphia and was a veteran, serving in the US Army.  John leaves to celebrate his life and memory a host of cousins, relatives and friends, including Bernice Gumby, Greta Brown, Jack Robinson and Andre Morton all of Harrisburg, Sandy Wells of Maryland, Thomas Monts of Beaver Falls and Evelyn Carter of Albuquerque,  New Mexico. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
