John Henry Booker

John Henry Booker of Susquehanna Twp., passed peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at home amongst family at the age of 87. Mr. Booker, a devoted husband and father retired from New Cumberland Army Depot with 33 years of service, graduated from Hampton (Inst.) University, was a member of Hampton's Alumni Association, OMIK Ham Radio Association and Capital Presbyterian Senior Citizen Center. Mr. Booker was proceeded in death by his wife of 62 years Jane Samuel Booker and leaves to cherish his life and memory, two daughters, Janette B. Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Linda B. Moore of Richmond, Virginia; two sons John F. Booker and Richard J. Booker, both of Harrisburg, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. John Henry's life will be remembered and celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. at 12 Noon, viewing and visitation at 11:00 a.m. and interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Dr., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
