Joanna Jones

Joanna "Hoggie" Jones, 63 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2012 at home. She was the daughter of the late Edwin Collins Sr. and Iva Mae Black Jones. Joanna graduated from the Harrisburg public school system and retired from the Commonwealth, Department of Transportation with more than 22 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, card games and visiting Hollywood Casino. She leaves to celebrate her life 4 children; Eric R., Antonio T., Chevella M. and Andre M. Collins; 9 siblings; Patricia Collins, Joyce Graham, Joan Jones her twin, Sondra Jones, Ethel Harris, Rev. Melvin Jones, Howard Jones, Edwin and Richard Collins,7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Joanna was also predeceased by 2 siblings; Barbara Collins and David L. Jones. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Mt. Calvary COGIC, 1830 N. 5th St., Harrisburg, PA 17102 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
