Joanella (Jenkins) Morrison, daughter of James A. and Irene H. Jenkins (both deceased), was born on October 17, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was welcomed home eternally on Monday, December 28, 2015. Joanella graduated from the first class of Harrisburg High School, 1972. Joanie, which she was lovingly called by family and friends, retired from the PA Department of Disability Determination after 30+ years of service, and in her leisure time enjoyed playing bingo, cards, reading, going to the casino, socializing & listening to her oldies/gospel music.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, James W. Morrison, as well as her children, Shawn (Tiffany), Nathan (Breyonna) and Sorrel, all of Harrisburg, PA.
She is also survived by her brother Harry (aka Butch) of Harrisburg, her beloved sister, Lynn (Lawrence Sr.) of Harrisburg, brother Derrick of Indianapolis and youngest brother Dennis of Harrisburg. Also, she leaves, to cherish her memory, 10 grandchildren: Shauniqua, QueâShawn, Jaqui, Amiq, Jaânah, Soriah, Anâdriel, Nateya, Jhaniyra & Journee as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
