Jimmy T. Mathis, Sr was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on Sunday November 7th, 1943 , to Jimmy and Elnora Mathis (Lyte). He was predeceased by both of his parents and his daughter Kim Middleton.
Jimmy was an Army Veteran and retired from Mechanicsburg Army Depot with 20 years under his belt. He was a past commander of Post #735 and a member of the American Legion Family. He was a past Dauphin County Commander and a 19th District Deputy Commander as well.
Jimmy was a little league Baseball coach and served in many other activities.
He is survived by his loving wife Madline Mathis (Middleton) and four children, David, Jimmy Jr. and Darrin Mathis and Tracey Middleton along with his granddaughter that he raised Takeithia Middleton. Jimmy also leaves his brother Raymond Mathis and a host of grands, great-grands and one great-great grandchild.
