Jimmy Hunter

Jimmy Hunter 86, of Harrisburg passed peacefully August 30, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbus, GA, to the late Jimmy Bryson and Thelma Hawkins. Jimmy retired from the Postal Service, served honorably in the U.S. Army, was an avid golfer and member of the Keystone Golf Club. He enjoyed watching golf, old westerns on TV, and doing sudoku puzzles.

Along with his parents he is preceded by his sister Lillie Herring. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Dorothy Hunter, son Kenneth (Angela) Hunter, sisters; Virginia Trueitt, Evelyn (Johnny) Byrd, grandchildren; Daisha, Joshua (Han), Kaleb, Jonathan, Aliyah and Jaida Hunter, great-grand child Leonardo Hunter and a host of relatives and friends.

Services and burial are private.
