Jerrell Xavier Mangus

Jerrell Xavier Mangus 37, affectionately known as “Rell” and “Rell Man” transitioned into eternal life on Friday, December 9, 2022. He is the son of the late Denise Toliver Mangus and Jerry Mangus.

Jerrell was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on February 5, 1985. He received his formal education at Susquehanna Township High School, receiving his diploma in 2003.

During his adolescent years, Jerrell was a part of a karate team, earning himself a black belt and played basketball for his high school and summer AAU teams. In addition, he participated in football, dance and track and field. Jerrell excelled in everything he attempted and succeeded in any accomplishments he went after.

Jerrell had the uncanny ability to bring life into any room with his smile, charisma, and affectionate way of being. He was outspoken, a leader and loved hard with good intentions.

Along with his mother, he is preceded by his maternal grandmother and grandfather, Joan and Dwindal Toliver, and paternal grandfather, Donald Mangus. Jerrell Xavier Mangus is survived by his daughter, Anylah Mangus, son, Javier Mangus, father Jerry Mangus, two sisters, Ina Strain and Joanise Mangus, brother, Jerry (J.J.) Strain, paternal grandmother, Charlotte Mangus, aunt, Starletta Toliver as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, other relatives and friends.
