Jennie L. Walker

Today the angels came and took our beloved Mother away to forever be with the Lord.
Deaconess Jennie L. Walker, 98 of Harrisburg, PA., passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Church of God Home, Inc., Carlisle, PA. She was born September 26, 1915, in Buena Vista, GA, and was a member of the House of God Church, Keith Dominion, for more than 70 years where she was an ordained Deaconess and served as a faithful member.
Deaconess Walker was the daughter of the late Henry Eugene Bailey and Susie McKenny, and is preceded in death by her husband James Walker; one son, Rev. James Walker, Jr., seven brothers and one sister.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and foster mother to many. She leaves to cherish her memory four children Maggie L. Chivers, Eugene Walker (Jane), Barbara Walker all of Harrisburg, David Walker (Joanne), and one sister Lila Bailey Williams, both of Atlanta, GA , 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grand children, sister-in-laws and a host of relatives, foster children and friends.
