Jenell B. Allen

Jenell Bernice (Bryant) Allen July 16, 1934 – November 28, 2024   Jenell Bernice (Bryant) Allen, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on July 16, 1934, in Perla, Arkansas, she was the beloved daughter of Willie C. Bryant and Cleo D. Bryant.  

Jenell was a devoted wife to the late Robert T. Allen Jr., with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Their union was blessed with seven children. She was preceded in death by her son Bernard Allen (Twana) and daughter Tina Hanes (Shirley). She is survived by her children: Sheena Toliver (Dwindal), Chonita Penn, Dwayne Allen, Karla Hodge (John), and Jason Allen (Sophia).  Jenell also cherished her two stepchildren, Gracie Lumpkin (Aaron) and Joseph Allen. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Willie Bryant (Joanne), as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy and legacy.  

Jenell was a devoted member of the Harrisburg Church of Christ. She exemplified humility and a Christ-like spirit in all she did. She retired from Bon-Ton and also worked as a Mary Kay Consultant. However, her most meaningful work was serving others and sharing her faith in Christ.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Harrisburg Church of Christ, 205 Miller Road, Harrisburg, PA. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Jenell will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
