Jean E. Weedon of May Street, Harrisburg went home to be with her lord and savior on January 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Harrisburg, daughter of the late William J. and Anna Appleberry Weedon. She attended John Harris High School, retired from the Harrisburg School District and a member of Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Jean was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, loved to read the bible, sew and cook. In addition to her parents Jean was preceded into eternal life by her sister Inez Simpson, great-grandson Quontell Ramsey and leaves to celebrate her life her two daughters, Armonda A. Weedon (fiancAC. Gregory Clark), Jennie L. Weedon, three brothers Charles Appleberry Sr., Bryan Weedon (Sarah), William Weedon (Cheryl), two uncles James and Donald Weedon; five grandchildren, two great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her pet Rusty the dog. Her life will be celebrated on Friday, February 1st at 12 noon in the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church with viewing at 11AM. Her final physical resting place will be in William Howard Day Cemetery.
