Jannie Mae Meredith

Jannie Mae Meredith passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 18th at Harrisburg Hospital. Mrs. Meredith was a longtime member of New Day Way of The Cross Church, she was the Church Mother and a Church Activist and predeceased by her husband, Bishop Myles Meredith. Mother Meredith leaves to celebrate her life and memory her children; Margaret Steele, Thelma Jenkins, Mary Wright, Patricia Chase, Carol Glover, Myles, Bishop Robert Lee, Elder Dorsey, John and George Meredith, her siblings, Sadie Gross, Lois Foster, Ida Turner, Doretha Gartrail, Mary Easton, Shirley English, Eugene and George Britton. She also leaves, 29 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. A Tribute will be held in her honor at the church on Sunday, 3rd and Peffer Sts., on Sunday, at 5:00 p.m. Her Home Going Services will be held on Monday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m., at the Church and interment at William Howard Day Cemetery.
