James Earl Tucker, affectionately know as âJimmieâ or âTuck,â was born on March 5, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Wash and Ella Tucker. He received his education at the former John Harris High School. During his working career he was employed with MayFlower Moving Company for 20+ years and A. Lane Furniture of Harrisburg. In his leisure, Jimmie enjoyed listening to music, playing the lottery, cooking, landscaping and painting. He loved to clean chitterlings, hog mogs, and even act as if he was a mixologist when it came to making a âspecial drink.â Letâs not forget that every time you spotted Jimmie he always had a hand towel thrown over one of his shoulders or in his back pocket. He would always lend a helping hand to others when needed. On Friday, October 24, 2014 at Spring Creek Rehabilitation Center, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Jimmie was called home to be with the Lord. Jimmie was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Napper and Linda Polk. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his companion, Debra Roland; his son, Michael Hardy, Sr. (Teresa); two grandchildren, Desireâe and Michael Hardy, Jr.; his step-children, Darnell Roland (Lori), Nakenyah Roland, Armand Roland, Sr. (Ceveria), Tisha and Todd Turner; 11 step-grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Patsy Price, and Jean Baltimore of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Shellie Tucker (Darlene) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Larry Tucker (Retha) of Grand Praire, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
