James R. Jones

Minister James R. Jones, 66 of Harrisburg, affectionately known as “Shugg” passed peacefully, on December 2, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg. James was the son of the late Evans and Catherine Jones and predeceased by his brother David Jones. James retired from the Harrisburg School District, as a Custodian Manager, working for the district for 20 years. James was a former member of Harrisburg Education Association and Outside of the Walls Christian Fellowship Church. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, detailing cars, fishing and traveling to Baltimore with his wife. James was had a good heart and a kind and gentle spirit. He enjoyed helping others, spending time with his family and the joy of watching children laugh. He often started his day, with a smile and ended his day with a smile. James leaves his devoted wife Minister Carol Jones, his children Kevin (Lydia) Johnson and Catherine Millisock, his siblings, Reba Jones and Alice Presley, and a host of relatives and friends.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are asking you to follow ALL required guidelines, during the service hour seating will be invitation only,
