James Miller Fulton Jr., of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at Harrisburg Hospital. James was born on November 13, 1949, to the late James Miller Fulton and Mary Fulton. James, also known to many as "Jim Boy," was well known and admired throughout the Harrisburg Community. James was raised in Harrisburg and attended Harrisburg Public School System. After graduating from John Harris High School, he enlisted into the United States Army. After spending a short time in the Army, James began working for the City of Harrisburg in the Sanitation field. He worked in several positions as a General Laborer in the Maintenance field for over 20 years. During his childhood years, James loved spending time playing basketball & baseball at Sunshine Park. Most of his adult years were spent enjoying life by going out dancing at the Harrisburg Legion. His philosophy of life was to "live life to the fullest." A favorite pastime of James' was listening to music and playing cards with his close friends Leroy Smith and James Green. He loved watching sports and was a diehard Pittsburg Steelers and LA Lakers fan. On October 26, 1973, he married Marilyn Leslie Shields. They were married for 28 years and were blessed to have five children. James is survived by his children and son-in-laws Danielle Bonner and Kimya A. Bonner, Deanna M. Presswood and Jonathan Presswood, James M. Fulton III, Danette Fulton and Dennis Bryant, and Jason Fulton, his mother Mary Fulton, aunt Carolyn White, three brothers and sister-in-laws, Sylvester Bitting Jr. and Lucille Bitting, Michael Fulton and Davi Fulton, Gary Fulton, one sister and brother-in-law, Frances Jackson and Charles Jackson, three nephews Sylvester Bitting III, Jalani Jackson, Omari Jackson, two nieces, Yvonne Gaines, Brittany Fulton, three grandsons, Kimya A. Bonner Jr., James Bryant, Brandon Presswood, four granddaughters, Aysia Bonner, Ajanay Bonner, Alana Bryant, Alyssa Presswood and a host of cousins and friends to cherish his memory.
