James T. Arkward

On Sunday, February 5^th, 2023, James T. Arkward Sr., loving husband, and father of two passed away at the age of 51 years old. James was born on March 14th, 1971, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late James Myrick and Lydia Burden. He attended William Penn high school in Harrisburg.

On August 28, 2004, James married LaShonda Arkward. They have raised two beautiful and awesome children, James Arkward Jr. and Lila Arkward.

James Sr. loved football deeply. He was a big fan of the New York Jets, and he loved coaching football, eventually coaching his son for over a year. James Sr. loved playing and teaching his daughter Lila, the sport of basketball. James enjoyed playing video games with his children and loved to take them on play dates.

James was known for his infectious smile and his kind & compassionate spirit. James Sr. is survived by his wife, LaShonda Arkward, their children, James Arkward Jr. and Lila Arkward, his sisters, Norvella Logan, Tonya and Tesa Myrick, his brothers, Tony, John, Brian, and Kevin Arkward

A memorial service will be held for him in the near future.
