Irma W. Burrell

When I come to the end of my Journey And traveled my last weary mile... " Irma W. (Weatherspoon) Burrell, 71, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Community General Hospital. Irma retired with more than 30 years of service from the Commonwealth of PA, the department of Transportation. She was a member of Covenant Community Church, she enjoyed going to auctions, yard sales, fishing and playing the organ. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her son Maurice "Moe" Edwards Sr., whom during her illness moved back home to become her caregiver, a step-son Shannon Burrell from Lackawanna, NY, her siblings; Germaine Thompson of Ohio, Jean Boswell and Dwayne Weatherspoon both of Brownsville, PA , 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Services in her honor will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 with burial in Paxtang Cemetery. The family is appreciative of your many acts of kindness shown to them during their time of sorrow.
