Howard Smith Sr

"God saw the road was getting rough, the hills too hard to climb... " Howard Smith Sr. 82 passed peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Golden Living Care Center in Camp Hill. Howard retired from Roadway Express as a driver; he was an Army veteran, a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, a driver for Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. and loved shooting pool and watching baseball. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Smith, yet leaves to celebrate his life and memory his sons Howard Smith, Jr. of Harrisburg and Daniel P. Joyce of Kentucky, daughters Jeanne A. and Judith L. Joyce both of Kentucky, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. His service of remembrance will be held at Hooper Memorial Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., viewing at 9:30 a.m., interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates your love and support during their time of sorrow and bereavement.
