Howard M. McKamey, 86 of Steelton, passed peacefully at home on Monday, November 22, 2010. Howard was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, an usher and property chairman for nearly 25 years. He retired as an Industrial Specialist from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot; he was a World War II Navy Veteran, a life member of NPA, NRA Pistol Instructor, DAV, Hunting Education Instructor for the PA Game Commission, member of the State Pistol Team and VFW Post #3540. Mac, as he was known, loved hunting, wood working and pistol competition. He was predeceased by his wife May and daughter Linda leaving his son Howard II to celebrate his life and memory, sister Juanita Walker (Ralph), granddaughter Tara McKamey, grandson Mark McKamey, 4 great-grandchildren, nephew James McKamey and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at his church, 248 Seneca Street, Harrisburg on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Churchville Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling Mr. McKamey's arrangements.
