Herman Reed Joppy

Herman Reed Joppy 61, of Edgemont passed peacefully March 22 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was a retired employee of New Cumberland Army Depot and a Vietnam Veteran who loved the culinary arts and horticulture. Herman will be remembered by his five children Carlos and Jeffery Baylor, Carolyn Young, Robert Joppy and Renee Douglas; eight siblings Rochelle Pickett, Betty, Juanita, Carolyn, Robert Jr., James Sr., Alphonso and Harvey Joppy, with six grandchildren. He will also be missed by a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, March 27 in the First Zion Baptist Church at 11AM with viewing at 9:30. His final resting place will be in William Howard Day Cemetery.
