Herbert Toombs

Herbert Toombs, 87 formerly of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on August 28, 2013 in the Golden Living Center of Camp Hill. Herbert retired from Reese's Food Corp., he was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, past President of the Usher Board, Master Mason and a member of Chosen Friends Lodge #43 F&AM Prince Hall. He enjoyed fishing, boating, music, and was a DJ for many local events. Herbert leaves to celebrate his life and memory; his son Herbert "Teddy" Toombs, Jr., Wendy V. Haigood, who he cherished as a daughter, both of Harrisburg, a brother Tony Burton of Virginia, 2 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:30 am, viewing at 9:30 am and interment in Fort Indiantown National Cemetery.
