Henry A. Stevens, Jr. 88, passed on June 6, 2008, at the Spring Creek Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Rev. Henry A. and Agnes Burress Stevens of Clifton Forge, VA. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Clifton Forge, and attended Storer College, Harper's Ferry, WV, and Xavier University, New Orleans, LA.. Henry was a self-employed Insulation Contractor, and in retirement served as custodian for the Capital Presbyterian Church in Hbg. He was a proud World War II Veteran and a former member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Steelton. He was friendly to everyone he met and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In addition to his many friends and relatives, he leaves to mourn, his children Vanessa S. Edwards of Harrisburg, PA, Dr. Jonathan A. Stevens of Englewood, NJ and Michelle Stevens of Haddonfield, NJ; a sister, Agnes Berry of Leesburg, FL. and three grandchildren Aliyah Edwards, Naim Edwards and Jonathan E. Stevens. The family will receive visitors at the Hooper Memorial Home, Sunday, June 15th from 6:00-7:30 PM. His memorial service will be held Monday, June16th at 10:30 AM at the Capital Presbyterian Church. On Tuesday, June 17th at 10:00 AM, Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
