Reverend Henry Walker Boulware, Jr., son of Barbara Ann Hill Boulware and Reverend Henry Walker Boulware, Sr., was born on September 17, 1948, in Guilford County, North Carolina. He departed this life on November 27, 2024.
Henry was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant and Air Frame Repair Technician for 21 years and 2 months. Henry was ordained as a Reverend at Stranger’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Bellevue, Nebraska, on October 29, 2005.
Henry enjoyed fishing, sports, music, studying Bible scriptures, and sharing the message of repentance, love, and forgiveness. Henry was a coin collector and had an affinity for luxury cars. He was a wealth of knowledge of family history, a true disciple of God, and firm in his beliefs.
Henry leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his wife, Joyce Oneida Boulware; two beautiful daughters, Dr. Tamika Boulware Phyfer and her husband, Keith, of Henderson, NV, and Melinda Rochelle Boulware of Las Vegas, NV; a son, Curtis Anthony Britton, of Frankfort, KY; and two sisters who preceded him in death, Reverend Tueresa Palmer and Reverend Dr. Etta Organ.
He leaves precious memories of love to four brothers: Wayne A. Boulware and his wife, Denise, of Harrisburg, PA; Bishop Robert K. Boulware and his wife, Toni; Mario H. Boulware and his wife, Laverne, of Harrisburg, PA; Anthony D. Boulware and his wife, Kimberly, of Sumter, SC; and four sisters: Elizabeth F. Boulware Bair and her husband, Wesley, of Harrisburg, PA; Patrice Casey of Saginaw, MI; Patricia Boulware of Saginaw, MI; and Verta (Angel) Boulware-Latimore and her husband, Andra, of Union City, GA.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Reverend Henry Walker Boulware, Jr., will be deeply missed by so many, and we will hold dear the wonderful memories he has left with us. Rest well, Daddy. Embrace peace, free from suffering and worry.
Please keep the Boulware Family in your thoughts and prayers.
