Hazel Toombs

Hazel A. Toombs, 87 and formerly of Edgemont; passed peacefully at Golden Living Center in Camp Hill on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.  Hazel retired from the Commonwealth as a Librarian from the Department of Health. She was a member and usher of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, dancing and spending time with family. Hazel leaves to celebrate her life and memory her loving husband of 60 years Herbert Toombs Sr., son Herbert "Teddy" Toombs Jr., siblings, Frances G. Williams of VA, Horace H. Smith of NY and Creed Smith of CA, 1 grandchild, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., with internment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
