She was very active in her church and served well until her health began to fail. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ. She was a member of the Pastor's Aide Auxiliary and the Greeter's Ministry, and she truly loved being a member and singing with the Williams Memorial Choir. She loved her pastor, her sisters and brothers in Christ, and most of all, she loved the Lord.

Gwendolyn displayed much love and concern for her family, friends, and others. She was sweet, caring, and kind.
