Gloria M. Payton

"A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes these things I too will miss" Gloria M. Payton, 67 of Susquehanna Twp., passed peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital. Gloria was the widow of the late Harold Payton and the daughter of the late Nevin Anderson and Willa Strickland. Although she had been a housewife for many years she was also employed in the Treasury Department as well as Labor and Industry for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She leaves one brother, Milton Strickland (Inez) of Riviera Beach, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends. At her request a graveside services was held on Friday, September 26, 2008 in William Howard Day Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. handled Ms. Payton's arrangements and her final wishes.
