Gloria R. English-East

Gloria R. English-East 75, of Harrisburg passed suddenly on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Harrisburg Hospital. She was the daughter of the late James English and Mabel Boykins English. Gloria was a member of The First Baptist Church of Steelton; Sheba Chapter #32 Order of Eastern Star Prince Hall Adopted, retired from the State of Pennsylvania, and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and crossword puzzles. Along with her parents, she is preceded by her siblings, Wesley and Virginia English, Charlene Flynn; children, Jena Y. East, and Joslynn L. Stanback. She is survived by her children; Anthony M. (Polly) English, Stacey M., Russell H., Gwendolynn B., and Gloria A. East; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at her church 1850 S. 19th St. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., viewing 9:30 a.m. until time of service, burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to her church, Hooper Memorial Home is handling arrangements.
