Georgie A. Strickland Sawyer

Georgie A. Strickland Sawyer widow of James, devoted mother of Geraldine Sawyer, Rachel Smith and Shirley Shuff, sibling to Mary E. White, with sixteen grand, twenty five great grand and nine great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends passed spiritually and peacefully at Harrisburg Hospital, September 29th in her 85th year. Georgie was a member of the United Primitive Baptist Church and the Women's Auxiliary. Her life will be celebrated in her church, 14th and Walnut Streets, Thursday at 12 noon with viewing at 11. Georgie's life will also be celebrated in North Carolina Saturday; floral arrangements should be sent to the Spencer Funeral Home, 824 North Main Street, Mt. Airy, N.C.
