George Johnson

George Johnson "Uncle Mutt", age 72 of Harrisburg, PA was called home by the Lord our God on Monday, December 6, 2010. George was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School Class of 1957. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and later served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed as a Chef for several restaurants in Harrisburg until his retirement. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan who also enjoyed dancing, listening to music, playing cards and being with "His Family". He is survived by 2 daughters; Georgina M. (Milton E.) Baltimore, and Sonya Reynolds both of Harrisburg, 2 Sisters, Vivian Rogers of Harrisburg and Linda (Nathan) Garrette of Detroit, MI, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at Antioch Tabernacle Church, 1920 North Street, Harrisburg on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., burial following at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Antioch Tabernacle Food Pantry, PO BOX 1660, Harrisburg, PA 17105. Arrangements are being handled by Hooper Memorial Home, Inc.
