George L. Donald

When I come to the end of my journey and travel my last weary mile" George L. Donald 92; passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Spring Creek Nursing Center. Mr. Donald retired from the Federal Government working with the Navy and the Air Force with more than 30 years of dedicated service. George was also long time and faithful member of The North 17th Street Church of God, the Men's Choir and he enjoyed going out for breakfast and had a passion for gardening. "Uncle George" is predeceased by his wife of 68 years Bernice; two daughters, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Gaston of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held in his church on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and interment at William Howard Day Cemetery, Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is handling Mr. Donald's arrangements.
