Geneva White

Mrs. Geneva White (Williams) was born to the late Hettie and Ben Williams, Jr. in Roxobel, North Carolina on August 16, 1932.

Always dedicated to family and to God, she moved to Harrisburg, PA in her late twenties. She first went to beauty school to learn how to fix and style hair and began to do hair at Desmond's Beauty Shop. While living and working in Harrisburg, Geneva caught the eye of a young Randolph (Randy) R. White. They were married March 21, 1964 and the union was blessed with 3 children: Rondale (Ron), Genise Rena and Robert Allen.

She was a long standing member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she was a served throughout her life. She has lived in Harrisburg, PA, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach, VA. In her later years, she lived at the Colonial Park Care Center in Harrisburg.

She was a devout Christian and a devoted wife and mother. She raised her kids with love and discipline for which they will be eternally grateful. She was a very down to earth woman. In Geneva, what you see was what you got with her.

She is survived by her three children: Rondale, Genise and Robert, her brothers; Allen McKinley Williams (Zelma) of Edgewater Park, New Jersey, Ben Williams, Jr. (Lillian) and a brother in-law Raymond of Portsmouth, VA; her step children: Margaret White-George, Lois White Adams and James White, several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; two daughter-in-laws: Tracie White and Tracy Marks; two aunts Sarah Hardy of Aulander, North Carolina and Ola Mae Smith of Windsor, North Carolina and a uncle Jack Spruill; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Randolph R. White, her brother: Paul McCoy Williams, her sister: Pecolia Peele, and her parents: Hettie and Ben Williams, Sr.

Services for Geneva will be in the Hooper Memorial Home Inc. Saturday June 1^st, 2013 at 10 AM with viewing at nine. Her final resting place will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery
