I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Geneva Proctor, 94 of Harrisburg transitioned into eternal life on Sunday March 3, 2024, at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill, PA with her beautiful daughter Pat by her side.
Geneva was born on May 31, 1929, in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late Senator Owens and Grace (Wise) Davenport, she was the eldest of 8 children. She attended and graduated from Mount Mariah School District. Geneva’s parents moved her to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1945. She was employed by The Polyclinic Hospital; she worked in the hotel industry. Geneva was also an entrepreneur of two restaurant businesses, The Shake Shop on 6th & Muench Streets and The Eat & Run on 7th Street both in Harrisburg, PA.
She enjoyed reading her bible and being a witness telling people about the Lord, she especially loved talking to and encouraging young people. It meant so much to her serving as the President over her family reunion, bringing family together in love and in unity, she truly loved and cared for her family. Geneva showed much love and concern for others, she was sweet, loving, caring, and kind, she exemplified the spirit of Christ.

She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ, she was a true doorkeeper serving wholeheartedly on the Senior Usher Board, she loved sharing her beautiful voice singing on the Senior Choir, she also served on the Nurses Unit.
