Geneva Mills, affectionately known as ‘Sister’, was born on November 19, 1941, in Foreman Arkansas to the late Ernest Muldrew and the late Maxine Caldwell Muldrew.
She received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District and graduated from Willam Penn with the class of 1961. She married Willie J Kelly in which that union bore two children, Larry and Vicki. She loved her children dearly and was very proud of them. She worked various jobs before providing 25 years of dedicated service and retiring from MP Inc. (currently known as Tyco Electronics.)
Family was at the heart of everything she did. Whether it was spending family time with her sisters going out to eat, church or shopping. She was a faithful member of Faith Chapel C.O.G.I.C. She enjoyed attending church service and all church events with her mother and her sisters. She instilled her faith in the lord in her children. She was a shopper’s shopper. It didn’t matter what the shopping was for, food, clothing or jewelry. She had a passion for beautiful jewelry. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always enjoyed the laughter of both intimate and large gatherings. She was extremely kindhearted and always helping everyone in need, especially her family and friends. She wed Lavester ‘La La’ Mills on October 16, 1995. He was the love of her life. She enjoyed 27 years of marriage prior to his passing.
Geneva Mills at the age of 83, gained her wings and peacefully departed this life on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lavester (La La) Mills, her brother Otha Muldrew, her sisters; Shirley Warren, Earlene Bryant, Ernestine David and Nadine Muldrew. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her son Larry D Kelly (Leslie) her daughter Vicki L Kelly, both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, sister Ophelia Caldwell Dames of Ashburn, Virginia; a very special sister In-law Lena Mills of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, grandchildren Julian Allsup of Harrisburg Pennsylvania, Brandon Harvey (Christina), Brooke Foster (David) both of Phoenix Arizona, Jordan Kelly (Jordan), and Qua’Meir Kelly both of Harrisburg Pennsylvania, and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
