Geneva Mansfield 98 formerly of Kelker Street passed peacefully June 5th in Manor Care Nursing Home. Geneva was the first black nursing assistant in Harrisburg Hospital and charter member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and its Missionary Society. She was also a member of Unity Temple number 61 IBPOE of W, and the Galliean Fisherman. Geneva leaves to mourn her children Barbara Ann Zanders, George, Geneva, Lowell and Milford Johnson and a host of grand, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Her services will be in her church at Capital and Herr Streets, Tuesday June 10th at 11AM with viewing at 10. Her final resting place will be in William Howard Day Cemetery.
