Gaylord N. Myers

Gaylord N. Myers passed peacefully on Monday, January 29th at Blue Ridge Mountain Nursing Home in his 74th year. Gaylord retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Depot as a Master Electrician and served as a member and trustee of St. Paul Scott A.M.E. Church. Gaylord an Army Veteran, loved sports and was a pitcher for the Winchester All Stars Negro League, a Past Worshipful Master of Lincoln Valley Lodge #93 and raised as a Master Mason in Chosen Friends Lodge #43 F&AM, Prince Hall Affiliate and a 33rd Degree Mason on Nimrod Consistory #9. Gaylord was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Myers and son Gaylord Bruce Myers, he leaves to celebrate his life, two children, Alice Myers Hall of Virginia and Crystall Pearson of Maryland, a sister Katherine Lee of Virginia, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, several relatives and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. at 11:00 a.m., Masonic Services at 9:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, February 5th at 11:30 a.m. The Myers family is appreciative of all the support and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.
