Gale D. Green Jr.

Mr. Gale DeSilver Green Jr. passed peacefully surround by his family on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence. Gale was born on August 12, 1959 and reared in Harrisburg, PA. He was the son of the late Gale D.Green Sr. and Marian B.Green. Gale served in the United States Army and retired from the Commonwealth of PA, at the Department of Welfare with 15 years of service. Gale loved and enjoyed good music, bowling, and talk radio. He attended Antioch Tabernacle United Church and for many years he could be found volunteering at the Church Food Bank and Central PA's Food Bank. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents Gale and Marian B. Green. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory his children; Deaya, Gale III, Michael and Christopher, his siblings; Catherine (Kevin) Newman and Reverend Doctor Linda Green, 3 grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. All covid-19 restrictions will be in place, seating is limited for the service hour and will be invitation only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gale D. Green Jr. directly to the funeral home at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., 3532 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
