Fred "Freddie" W. Allen

Fred "Freddie" W. Allen, 69, of Harrisburg and formerly of Southern Pines, NC passed peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Spring Creek Nursing Home. Fred was a member of Camp Curtain Memorial Mitchell United Methodist Church; he retired from the Department of Revenue, loved golfing, coin collecting and model cars. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory his devoted wife Arnetta M. Allen, a sister Augusta Person of Southern Pines, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his church, 2221 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling Mr. Allen's arrangements.
