Ernestine Ware

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile" Ernestine Ware, 72, of Harrisburg, passed in Community General Hospital on April 25, 2010. Ernestine retired from the Commonwealth of PA, the Department of Transportation as a Unit Secretary, with nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Ernestine also enjoyed cooking, reading, music and she cherished her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie A. Ware, Sr. and daughter Theresa D. Ware. She leaves to celebrate her memory her children; Vicki Davenport, Regina Carney, Silvia Thompson, Leslie A. Ware Jr., Reginald and Rodney Ware all of Harrisburg, her brother Kevin Shepherd of South Carolina, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her aunt Marietta Rock of New Jersey and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 12 Noon, viewing at 11:00 a.m., with burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday. The family appreciates your kindness and support during their time of bereavement.
